If the tag on the mounting bracket is gone, where are you able to find your engine serial number?

yea mine are gone as well!! i have looked everywhere with no luck

You can figure out the first part is you know the year and length.. I think. The last numerical part is also on a sticker on the cylinder head.

I don't know about the 250 SX but some motors have the serial number programed into the computer when it is originally 'flashed'
Ask you authorized Yamaha service department if the number can be dumped. ( I know that the 150SX, does not have the serial number programmed into the ECM
