HAs anyone ever replaced the Helm seat on a 265. It's the ladder back type. Thanks

No but I've often thought about it. I've not found a direct replacement but had seen a thread that talked about replacing the helm seat with the Pompanette Evolution series and made a note of the seat model as it looked nice and comfortable, not much wider than the originals but with flip up armrests, which should make maneuvering easier, and a flip up bolster (though of course pretty pricey) but I can't find the thread, could well have been on a different model boat but it's one that I'm keeping an eye on.

when you say replace, do you mean simply getting another stock ladder back helm seat or are you looking to go with a different kind of seat?

I swapped out the factory seat on my 330 with a highback seat from

I swapped out the factory seat in my 330 for a Springfield Royal from west marine. A family member was working there at the time and I got a really good discount, it was something like $350.00 a year ago. I could have swapped over my factory base but I just bought a generic base and had to modify it slightly. It's no Lebroc or whatever else pimped out seat is the flavor of the week these days- but the material is heavy duty, the color matches the off white on most of our Grady's, flip up arms, flip up bolster, tilt back. The factory seat was ok but the arms didn't flip up. on the grady expresses, it's tight getting by there to go into the cabin so the flip up arms are what I was really after.
