Anyone have a 280 Marlin that knows what the loaded up draft is? I am curious to find out what the minimum canal depth is that I could take the boat. I am looking at a few homes that have some shallow canals.

GW says 18" but I would estimate it is closer to 2 to 2 1/2' loaded. Don't try to test but have touched sandy bottoms at extreme low tides but engines have been trimmed up as high as I could.

Thanks for the response. Seems too good to be true? Only 2-2 1/2' draft on this tank! Looking at the profile it seems like it would need to run a lot deeper.

Yes, you are correct. I have my alarm set at 4' so it doesn't draw much. I do find as stated you need to raise the motors as best you can, but I've see others get stuck that draw more.
