Are they discontinued? And if so, why were they? Thanks!

Yes, discontinued a few years ago. Replaced by the 290 Chesapeake. Stated reason at the time was to allow for a generator in a similar size range boat. 290 only lasted a few years, however. Price of the 290 was close to the Marlin 300 and it came out at a time when walkaround sales have lost ground to Freedon-series sales. As a result, the 290 didn't sell well enough to stay on the factory floor.
