300 with 2 mfd

The below linked boat is for sale on Boat Trader, of which it has twin Garmin 1243xsv's on it that are each 12.1" wide and total 24.2" wide without any spacing between the two units. The Garmin 8616xsv on the other hand is 15.1" wide and to where two of them without any gaps would be 30.2" total. Based off those pictures of the helm area, there definitely isn't an extra 6" of wiggle room to play with, no pun intended.

Is the boat a Marlin 300? If so, what year? Based on what I have seen for newish years of Marlins, two 12 inch screens will fit. I don't think 2- 16s would

You don't have a width problem. The issue will be the height. The 8612 is 8.5" and the 8616 is 10.3". The 8612 and 8616 both have screen resolution of 1920 x 1080. You may want to consider two 8612 units side by side. I squeezed a 8612 into my Islander and have a 8610 up top in the electronics box. I prefer having two screens.

If I were going single screen I would consider the 9019. Not sure it would fit though. The 9019 is 12.0" high. The 9019 screen resolution is 3840 x 2160. That's four times the resolution of the 86xx series and makes combination screens more useable. It is more expensive though.

Here is a single 8616xsv on a Marlin. Don't think there is any chance. There is a video on YT "Dan Londero's Sweet Grady White Marlin 300" where he mentions he had the dash custom done to fit twin 15".

Listen to Harrysea and athomp228, they actually know what they're talking about. Even if you dropped the screens down as far as you could, you won't have enough room to fit two 16” screens in there.
