Who has dealt with this issue.I have a clean boat but the pump does not work.NO ONE HAS USED IT SINCE IT HAS BEEN CLEANED AND PUMPED OUT DOCK SIDE.I would like the option of pumping over board out in the legal limits of the ocean.I cant even get the water in the bowl to move out regardless of what lever is opened or closed ,it goes up and down but does not leave, even with the lever on the pump pushed to fill or empty the china bowl .ANY AND ALL HELP needed  Please. Not to many people want to work on the crapper or the tank/ pump.I'll do it just need directions.

I had a similar issue a few months ago. My pump would make a sound when activated and immediately throw the switch.

First thing i did was go to pump out and clean out my bowl. Next thing I did was remove the upper housing portion of the pump. You should see a spindle that would normally spin when activated. My seemed stuck. I used a set of channel locks, with a rag so I wouldnt damage the stainless steel, and forced the spindle to turn. It didnt take much. I reassembled the pump housing and suprisingly the pump worked great.

Havent had issues since.

Hope this helps

Matt
