94 Sailfish fresh water tank - how long do they last?

How long do they last? We have the deck off and fuel tanks out to replace stringers and bulkheads. I assume the water tank is original. Does not seem to have any issues but we were thinking now would be the time to swap it out before closing everything back up. Thoughts on how long a 30 year old plastic tank lasts?
 
If you have access to it and are into it that deep, I'd just swap it out.
 
Should last indefinitely. Take it out, bleach it, agitate it and put it back. You don't really drink that water do you?
 
I've got a '95 Sailfish and was wondering the same last season. How would you access the tank if you wanted to take it out?

I did new fuel tanks last season and that was a bear on it's own. Never noticed a way to get to the fresh water tanks. I can only imagine that job.
 
My 95 Marlin has the original tank. Cleaned it thoroughly (wasn't bad to start w) and reinstalled with new hoses. I make sure to drain and fill consistently. We use it for washing cooking and some drinking. Haven't had any issues yet. I also fill it w an RV filter. Little bit of "tank" taste but our local municipal water supply doesn't taste all that great to start with.
