Well, I need a day of no rain and me being off to test the trailer. I need to hook it up and pull it at least about 15 miles to see if the brakes lock up.
Since we have rain forecast for the next 10 days, starting tomorrow, I plan to HOPE it will not rain first thing in the morning so I can hit the road before it gets wet.
Wish me luck, lol. IF it is dry, and the trailer is fine, even if not, I am driving her to the local lake just to slide her back onto the trailer all the way.
Now, some fun....for all of you...
I MAY have an extra anchor light, tall one. I am going to test it and see if the one I have is tall enough. If not, I may use the tall one the boat came with or buy a new one, I want it to go past the top of the radar.
If the current one is fine, I will offer the light to someone that needs it, you just pay shipping.
On that note....oddly enough, I realized I had not opened every hatch in the boat...amazing, a year old and I had not looked in every hatch. To that end, I now have so many damn life vests it is crazy.
I will check the dates and such and then post photos so anyone needing extras can have any extra I have, just pay shipping if it is more than 5 bucks heh.
I do not horde a lot of “stuff”, just things I think I can use, but not stuff that I think another Grady may need more of.
As I find stuff, I will pass the others down.
I also plan to pass down a vhf. I know it works but I want my backup to have AIS as well, so when I replace it, someone can have this. It is old, a Ray-51 I think, but solid.
Will see what else I can find and pass down.
not to worry, @fishtale, lol, the bimini is still yours. Also, @glacierbaze, will go to town and put the map chip in the mail tomorrow, probably ups.
Oh, working on the side of the boat....grueling...anyone had luck....know just how “clean” to expect the decal removal to be? Not expecting perfection, just smooth. Looks like a really long process with this tool.
