Yesterday I bought a 2001 Grady White 300 Marlin. I am very happy with the purchase and looking forward to many happy trips out on the Gulf of Mexico. To ensure those happy trips I need a little help and though this forum might be a good place to start.

I would really like to find a Grady owner down here to help familiarize me with my new Grady once it makes the road trip from Florida to Biloxi MS. It has been many years since I've run small boats and though I'm not totally ignorant of a vessel this size I would be more comfortable if I could have someone show me the ins-and-outs of this boat (sort of a sea trials) before my maiden voyage from Biloxi to Long beach.

The closest Grady dealer is in Alabama - about 140 miles away. There doesn't seem to be a local Grady club here - Florida and Texas but not Mississippi.

I am wondering if there are any forum readers down this way who might give me a hand. If not does anyone have any suggestions about where to look for someone to help familiarize me with my Grady.

Thanks in advance.

I'm from Long Beach & moored my 25 Grady White Sailfish in Biloxi Small Craft Harbor for 6 years. I currently have a 268 GW which I keep @ my house & run out of Long Beach. I'd be glad to assist; my weekends are currently consumed with work around my house & try to get out for Cobia season.
