Installing acr olas wireless safety cutoff switch on the boat. Current kill switch is closed to stop single switch with 4 wires out the back. 2 white and 2 black. I am assuming this single switch controls both motors with one white and one black for each engine (ox66 250 yamaha). Also assuming black is common wire, white is signal. Wondering if anyone else has put one of these on their boat and any advice before I start cutting wires. I did not order the mullti engine connector but looks like I will need to. Also wanted to have the original kill switch still function.
Thanks

Your installation instructions that come with the new kill switch should have the wiring options info. There may be options on the switch itself too that need to be set since some engines use an open circuit to kill the motor and some use a ground connection. I can't remember what the OXs use. I will see if I can find the wiring diagram for your ignition switch. Do you know what model it is?
I will assume two keys and one kill lanyard.

OK found something. The Yamaha kill switch make connection between the ground (black wire) and the white when the lanyard is pulled. In other words, grounding the white wire will kill the motor

2 keys one lanyard, close to kill type. first glance i only saw 2 wires one signal one ground, but with glasses and flashlight saw it was 2 pairs of signal and common. below is wiring diagram came with product and is for single engine install.

this is the wire diagram using the multiengine connector, which seems clearer to me but looks as though it will remove lanyard from circuit

t looks to me that the last diagram is probably correct and will allow the original lanyard to work as long as the run clip is in the kill switch. The brown and grey (close to top) would be used to connect to the multi-engine connector. One set of the white black wires from the kill switch would connect to black and white on the multi engine connector and the other pair of black and white would connect to black and green.
The two connections for each motor should I think be tapped into the existing connections as opposed to cutting off the wires to the kill switch if you want to have the original kill switch function usable. Again, to use the boat the lanyard or actually the kill clip has to be used.
