I have a 2009 33 Express. When I try to open the instrument panel it either does not open or it takes awhile for it to decide to go up.I changed the switch but that did not help.I decided not to close it completely and that seems to work.It seems like the actuator gets stuck when it is closed tight.Should it be oiled or greased.Any other suggestions.

I had the same problem. Use care not to drive it to either extreme, open or closed. I close mine to about a 1/4" from hitting the stop. I also lubricated the mechanism with silicone spray. It is accessible from behind the electrical panel in the cabin. That panel will drop out of the opening and has long enough wires to hang down out of the way. At times the AC side of the panel will hang up as it has a protective plastic shield that hangs up coming out. Simply use a screwdriver or other slim device to guide the plastic and prevent it from hanging up. Of course turn of all power, DC at the battery switches and AC at the transom. Good luck!
