Tournament 225
I recently purchased a 2005 225 Tournament,. It is in fantastic shape, so I do not mind putting some money into it.
It did not come with the common full swim platform in the back, but just a small platform on the port side. While not essential, I would prefer the full platform, and one of the newer ones with the ladder of the side, not back.
After Googling it for awhile, I have not found any simple after market options. Does anyone know how to find one of these, and/or have an estimate on installation costs?

I'd think your two best options would be either to contact your local Grady White dealership and/or I imagine just about any decent local fiberglass shop should be able to make something up like that, if you took the boat to them.

IF you can still get that part, your dealer can check with Grady. But since it's 20 years old, the question is whether or not Grady still has the mold laying around to make it.

Swim platforms dot com is a great company - check with them to see if they have already done this or can make it to your specs.

Thank you both. Appreciate the direction. I expect I will have to have it fabricated.

I'm looking for a Tournament 225, but none on the West Coast :(

Have you considered having a platform made from Stainless? If the mold for the fiberglass one no longer exists, It would be fairly simple to fabricate the frame and you could even add teak slats to reduce the glare and add a touch of class.

I had not thought of that. With teak, that could look good, plus I could customize the ladders around the power poles better. Thanks for the idea.

Come East, there are a few 225’s on the market. I have been very impressed with mine, and we intentionally went with this model and layout compared to come some of the newer Freedoms.

As Backwaters mentioned, look back east as there are a lot more Grady White's for sale back there and they're generally for sale at a much better price than what they're listed for out here. I'm not sure how California is, but there aren't a ton of dual console style of boats for sale up here in the Seattle area, and most of the boats you do find are a walkaround style of cabin. I purchased my most recent boat back in October of 2021, it's a 2004 Grady White 228 Seafarer and bought her for $26.5k, when similar boats have sold out here on the west coast for anywhere between $55k-$65k+. Just my thoughts on the matter, of course.
