I was wondering about adding a fuel tank to my Grady. Right now I just have a 10 gallon plastic fuel cell under the aft storage area. Its great for filling up and maintence (no need to trailer the boat to the pump or winterizing) Do they make hard installed fuel tanks that can be retrofitted and if so how?

The boat is a 1976 175 Duke. The boat has a fuel guage and a filler neck but no onboard tank, which I find wierd.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Regards,
Jude

Here's the USCG Boatbuilder's Handbook, with the regulations for fuel systems. Somewhere here in my office, I had a list made up for a customer, who wanted to add a tank to his boat. That list had everything that was going to be needed for the job, let me see if I can find it...
