New owner of a 251 coastal seeking input on adding an Atlas jackplate to improve performance of F300.
My experience with jackplates has been on a smaller boat where I can achieve noticeable benefits in RPMs/ MPH/ gph by raising the motor at speed. I would expect similar performance improvements with the Grady, yet the dealer indicated that I would not see a difference worth the added cost (+/- $2500).
Does anyone have experience with adding a jackplate to the 251, or similar size Grady?
