Had engine hiccups the other day, couldn't maintain rpm, lots of coughing.
I had just put 25 gallons of fuel in so that was my first thought - bad gas, or filter clogged up from the e10 gasoline. Didn't have an extra filter and was heading to beach for the weekend so had to wait it out. Performance better on the way home Sunday but not 100%. Sunday night I swapped out the old 10 micron filter and put in a new one. Haven't used the boat since except to rev engine real good after new filter put on.
Question - if ethanol is my problem, is the change in performance with a new filter immediate or does it take longer??
I poured the contents of the old filter into a clear container and saw tiny bits of white-ish 'stuff' floating around. Not sure, could have been water globules, they moved around like water. Its in the garage now, going to see if it settles or stays.
Anyone have a similar experience?

Racor media only involved in particulate filtration of any liquid and coelescing (spelling?) water seperation.

Get yourself a portable small gas tank, connect to engine directly, this will isolate entire ship's fuel system. Get gas at car gas station. If engine straightens out, get fuel pumped out of boat with bow jacked up, dump entire bottle of EZORB in there, change all filters, notify gas station of what happened, and company HQ of gas station of your experience, never return to same gas station that spiked the boat.
