Bimini Top window and zipper replacement

I am in the process of getting a walking foot sewing machine. I'm going to replace my side curtains (windows, hard to see out of them) and zippers on the enclosure. Thinking of using strataglass. Has anybody used this material? What guage should I use? Needle size, thread and any hints would be greatly appreciated.

She sleeping right now, but it only comes in one thickness for boating, the other is like for jeep thick stuff. not sure what foot and needle size/ thred? But before replaceing try that cleaning plexus stuff, cleaned my old plastic like you wouldn't believe. http://www.plexusplasticcleaner.com/plexus.html see if that helps

Thanks for the reply freddy. The windows are old and tired and desperatley need replacement. Fisherman...will take advice on fishsniffer forum and see how it goes. thanks again
