So after the last trip and some heavy thinking we opted to go for repair rather than replace. We were thinking of pair of 250 Suzuki for around 40k, or fix all problems (some of which were not engine related) for much less. Could not pull the trigger on 40k engines for a boat I only paid 15k for. So new trim tab pumps, new tilt/trim motors on both engines, new remote and cables, and a few other minor repairs. My neighbor convinced me, saying the engines are running great, use them till they blow up! If one goes when we are out, we limp home. So the boat yard has her blocked up and I am having the work done so I can spend the first 2 weeks of August fishing.
