Just thought I would post this as an FYI. If you have one of the Side Power Thrusters installed by Grady I would strongly recommend that you get at least one each of the shear pins for the prop and the electric motor.
The one for the prop is easy as it's right behind the prop. However, the one for the motor isn't quite so easy but certainly fixable by the boat owner.
I was out last weekend and all of a sudden when I went to use the thruster it just hummed as if free wheeling but no prop. I figured it was probably the shear pin for the propeller as I have seen that one when servicing the prop shaft. Well that one was fine. After much reading of the manual I finally spotted a shear pin listed on the schematic back page of the manual for the electric motor. That requires taking up the floor under your table and then taking out the four bolts that secure the motor to your gear box. Total time to get to the shear pin was about 15 minutes. Now I've been waiting four days and still waiting for a replacement pin. I ordered three of them.
For reference I've had my boat 2 years next month and don't use the thruster a ton.
