Members were very helpful with my 1st question. Thought I would try it again. :D

1990 GW 252. The manual shows a one piece bow to stern PVC drain pipe, about 3/4". I think that I found the front end of the pipe under the mount for the shower pump in the forward bilge. The back end comes out the rear gas tank bulkhead. There is a smaller pvc pipe right next to it (rear tank coffin drain). Water was draining very slowly from the front bilge so I ran a manual roto-rooter down it. Tried it both ways and never saw the end come out the other side :? . I'm thinking that this is not really a once piece pipe. It seemed to open up either under the fresh water tank or the front of the main gas tank. Worked the rooter both ways several times and finally cleared the path.

Does anyone know if this drain pipe opens up under the water or gas tank?? Where does the anchor locker drain?

Thanks for the help.

The set up on my rig may be similar.

The forward bilge has a short PVC drain to the fresh water/ head holding tank section and from there, a long PVC drain to the aft bilge.

The Aux. tank between the helm seats drains to the main fuel tank area and from there goes into the aft bilge.

The two drains to the aft bilge are side by side coming into the aft bilge.

My anchor locker drains to the forward bilge. Would have liked an overboard drain since I like to rinse after using it and seem to be just filling my bilge.

The PVC just passes through the bulkheads. It's not a continuous run from bow to stern.

The drain from the FW tank compartment is continuous all the way back to the stern (doesn't open up in the gas tank compartment). The gas tank compartment drains thru one bulkhead, the last one at the stern

Moving forwad -

I did, but don't recall now how the holding tank compartment drains though it's rear bulkhead. But I will.

Not sure about the forward bulkhead seperating the forwad bilge from the holding tank compartment. The bulkead for this is under the entrance to the lower berth.

Look into the holding tank compartment deck, there is a small gap in the front and rear, use a flashlight and count how many tube you see.

Next time I'm in the boat, I'll figure it out.

Thanks for the replies. I figured the pipe opened up under the fresh water tank. Great site for getting help!! :D :D

Well, it cost me 165 bucks to find that out too. I put the garden hose by the shower pump, water open all the way and it was dripping in the back by the bildge. I shut the water and called my dealer and asked him where that pipe goes and he said to the bildge. Then i told him that it has to be clogged cause water in but no water out. They send a mechanic(had to do some other warranty work anyway) and after checking it they send me a bill of 165 bucks telling me that there is no clog, but the pipe is not going through but gets cut after the bulk head. Why they couldn't tell me this from the beginning?

Your "dealer/stealer" must not be looking for return business if he was already coming out for warranty work and charged you at all. Too bad he didn't know his boats. He and I would have had a battle over that $165. I may not have won but he would have paid in the long run as soon as I mentioned his dealership by name.

Well, i spoke to one of his workers, i have not spoken to him yet. I'm sure he will wipe off the charge, but my question was/is why they charged me in the first place. Maybe he doesn't even know about this.
