Previously I had Alphas and just greased the external fittings every season. I would pull the drives every three seasons and take them in for servicing. I am new to the Bravo and need to ask the tech when I should pull the drive. I just went out and it does have external fittings like the Alphas so I will grease those.

I also have the Bravo outdrive pulled every three years for lube and alignment. She is now 21 years old. The engine is a 7.4 liter 330 HP Mercruiser.

Amigo thanks for the reply..... I had a mercruiser MAG just put in last year. I have 89 Gulfstream some techs say every year you should pull the drive. amazing 21 yrs old good for you. thanks

JeffN thank you also. the fittings you are talking about are for the spline and shaft I think there are two fittings on the inside of hull and one out side that one is for the gimbal. thank for your input happy boating

I've got the OMC outdrive on my 87 241offshore. I pull the drive off every fall and replace the o-rings, grease the internal u-joints, adjust the infamous intermiediate shift cable, and check engine alignment. I also change the lower unit fluid. I save a sample and check it after a few days to verify that there is no water in it.
