I have replaces the rubber bands that hold the rods in my 1998 208 cabin every year for the past 5 years.

2 questions:

1. Does anyone have an alternative method of holding the rods onto the holder? Bungees?

2. The closest GW dealer is over an hour away for me. Can anyone advise of a reasonable online source for theses type of basic parts?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

When I installed my cabin rod racks I found some bungee material at a local Ace Hardware. I just made a tag from duct tape but you could probably use the plastic balls used to attach tarps. Another suggestion would be tractor supply. If you strike out I can send you some bungee strip. (Whatever the actual cost is)

Crokers used to have these on their site internet GW parts catalog, until they went belly up.

Thanks for the replies.

I ended up drilling out holes in each holder and using a home-made bungee solution.

$9 and about 30 minutes of work and hopefully I'll never have to buy another one of those silly rubber bands again!
