I had a good long time friend lose his battle with cancer today at the young age of 43. he has spent the last 80 days in the hospital in and out of ICU. This has left a large amount of medical bills for the family. I want to help in any way I can and I was thinking of raffling off like a $500 gift certificate with tickets being 10 or 20 bucks each with 100% of the proceeds going to the family. I wanted to see if there was any interest in this before i mention it to the family. Youwould be able to buy as many tickets as you want or even just donate to the family. Please let me know if you would be interested in doing this and if it is ok with the family I will proceed.

As many of you know we lost a great person yesterday. Mike Powell or as most people knew him Big Mike lost his battle with cancer. He was a long time friend for almost 20 years. For the people that didn't know him, you missed out. He would do anything for anyone, even people he barely knew. He was larger than life and would bring smiles to everyone around. He loved boating, fishing, and car audio. He left behind an amazing wife who was by his side every day and 2 kids. He will be missed by many. I would like to help out the family with the extensive medical bills and anything else they might need. I am holding a raffle for a 500.00 gift certificate to FL Marine Plastics. I think anything you can do would be a good thing. Tell us more about your friend. I lost a good friend 2 years ago to breast cancer. She was a beautiful vibrant 43 year old college friend. She fought hard for 7 years and left behind two young boys and a loving husband. Very sorry for your loss.

Thank you very much to those who have donated so far. I hope others will as well. The family is going through enough without having to deal with the financial burden of the extensive medical bills as well. Hopefully together we can take some of that burden off of their shoulders.

Letter to the skeptics

First off I want to thank everyone for the donations so far. We are still a long ways from our goal. We have close to 2500.00 in products that have been added and I would love to see that amount in ticket sales. I think that the level of dishonesty in this world has caused people to be skeptical. I have revived a lot of messages from people and emails making a lot of accusations since I started this. Some of them are: Seems like you are making this up to plug your business, How do we know people aren't giving you products for you to keep so you advertise their business for them, How do we even know you are giving them the money, how do we know you will actually give away the products and not just keep them, etc. The list definitely goes on. I have probably received more messages like this then I have four payment notifications. The PayPal link that you are donating through specifically says donation on my PayPal account. I have no problem doing a screen shot and showing people( of course with the names blurred out of the people that have donated) this way you can see the totals yourself. Along with that when the time comes I will show the totals matching with a certified bank check that I give to Mike's wife. Right now we are at exactly 400.00 in sales. If anyone wants to see proof just ask instead of accusing me of using my friends death as a way to promote my business. Sorry for the rant but I have had enough and needed to vent.
