Just bought a '98. Cabin needs that overhead fur cleaned. Original color is gray but is has some spots that are brownish. Also bunk pads need to be cleaned. Was going to rent one of those commercial steam cleaners. Anybody got any experience with this or suggest a better method?

Thanks George, 1/4 what? 1/4 cup? 3-parts water 1-part bleach?

1/4 PART, 3 water 1 bleach, i would throw also some white vinegar in there.

I wouldn't mix vinegar and bleach...you will get a reaction and produce chlorine gas...if you inhale that, it could be bad on the lungs....the bleach/water mix will do a good job cleaning....then seperately you can do a vinegar/water mix to kill any left over bacteria.

Cabin fur? Man, you must have taken your Grady to Pimp My Ride on MTV to get that ceiling fur put in the cabin... you got the loooove boat going on, put some Barry White on and you are da man! 8)

Ok, seriously, I was Lowes in the paint department because I had this issue with mildew on the ceiling near the shower and I was going to put that Kilz stuff on it and the paint manager told me to mix white vinegar with water I think the ratio was like 1/3 vinegar to 2/3 water...well I went home and did it. It worked! :wow

I would perhaps do a stronger vinegar mix, put it in a spray bottle and lightly mist the problem areas. Leave it stand and come back with a vinegar water damp sponge to physically remove it and your cabin fur will be in good shape in no time for your next cruise with the ladies..... just havin some Friday morning fun...
