Anyone know what kelvin the led cockpit lights are? I have a 2015 tournament 192. Grady seemed to have skimped on the cockpit lights. They only have one under each console and that leaves the stern of the boat very dark. My 91 tournament had lights under each gunnel. I want to add 2 more gunnel lights and I want them to be the same color as the factory installed ones. Wanted to try and find an aftermarket that will be similar in color, or does anyone know the Grady White part number for the oem's?

I don't know the OEM part number, but I do know a way to get your project finished. If you want under the gunwale mounted lights, perhaps consider going to an auto parts store and get an 12 to 18 inch strip of LED lights? They are sealed and some are rated to be water proof. The way I looked at it up under the gunwale and up under the forward area of my cockpit will not be getting all that wet.

I did this and it worked well. I bought 24 inch LED lights and honestly for my boat it is a little too bright. I had to play with the positioning to get them to be toned down some. I put 12 inch strips up under the cockpit where I drive. Those to me are the right brightness. The automotive LED lights are a fraction of the cost for marine ones.

Hi,
To my knowledge (no experience with very recent boats) GW didn't install under gunnel lighting. I'm guessing it was installed by an owner after market.
Not sure what color you are tying to match, but I put Lumitec light bar strips in my boat (red, white and blue leds that are switchable). I put blue led bulbs in the standard Perco cockpit light fixtures on my boat. The blue leds all look fine together.
I had installed strip led lighting and it lasted two years. Then one by one, leds started burning out so I went with the Lumitec. There are a couple of lengths. I went with the longer one - one bar per side. More than enough light.

If you want them to look the same color as tungsten-halogen lamps, then the color temp will be 2800-3200 Kelvin (K).

If you want them to look the same color as daylight, then the color temp will be 5000-7000 K.

If you want them to look like those blueish xenon car headlamps, then the color temp will be 9000-10000 K.

Your eyes will white balance to whatever dominant white color is present, so sometimes it's difficult to tell what color temp your LED's are unless you have different color temp ones side-by-side to compare.
