I'm going to have Beaver Park connect my Lowrance LCX 38C HD GPS/Sounder to my ICOM 504 VHF. Can't they also interface the Lowrance GPS with the Command Link gauges to get accurate MPG and speed readings? The boat is a 2008 225 w/ an F250 motor.

I can't give you a precise response, because I have never seen CL gauges and don't know how they are connected, i.e. cable and plugs.

I just upgraded from an LCX-19C to an LCX-112C, and I set up an NMEA2000 network. I installed the Lowrance Yamaha Engine Interfaces - they plug into the CL plug inside the engine cowling, and into the NMEA2K network. So I can see all the engine parameters on the LCX-112C. The engine fuel consumption from the ECM on each engine is totaled, and when combined with the GPS info on the NMEA2K network, gives me NM/gal readout on the LCX-112C, and the LMF-400.

So, the info is available, and compatible, it's just a matter of how you get it out of the CL side of the system and into the Lowrance side.
