I have a 1999 247 advance and it has rod racks on one side of the boat, but on the other side it has a compartment with a door which lifts up but no rod racks just a empty compartment what is it for, or what do you use for ? anybody know?

Are you saying you have three under-gunwale racks on one side and no racks on the other? Doesn't sound like it came from the factory that way. Can you post a picture?
