1. I broke the metal fish box latch on my Grady Marlin. Where can I buy a new one?

2. In our grady marlin our front hatches in the cabin under the coushins get water in them sometimes. Where could this be coming from?

Thanks
Jeff

Myprozac....your local Grady dealer should have one and can maybe help answer your water intrusion question at the same time as they may have seen this issue before...but if they don't try Attwood or Perko...they make a ton of latches for retail and boat builders.

You have to be a bit more specific on the water issue though...how much water, only after rain? or after normal use on the water? or after a wash down? Is it salty or fresh? etc

Salt water. Seems it is coming in the starboard hatch up front in the cabin. It not much water, maybe a 1/4 inch .. Just enough to get my tools wet . :( It only comes in after a trip in the boat. The dealer told me to get a hose and just start shooting it at the sides.

yeah, that's really the only way to hunt for it unless something like a seal, or crack is so obvious you can't miss it. A lot of times water could be coming in somewhere you never thought of and migrate its way to the actual drip spot. My hatches leaked but I could tell the seals were shot so I replaced them, problem solved...but I think that would be a cases by case basis.

I would start at the lowest possible point and work your way up the ladder, stopping for a while at each level to see if it trickles in.....ask the mrs or kids to help cause you'll need a second set of eyes for sure. Check the hardware as well as many times water will find its way down a latch, hinge, bolt etc. They may have to be removed and resealed as well.

good luck...post what you find!
