Shop manual says nothing about using a gasket compound or sealant when changing t-stats. What say the experts on this forum? Torque settings for the t-stat housing? Thanks.
Shop manual says nothing about using a gasket compound or sealant when changing t-stats. What say the experts on this forum? Torque settings for the t-stat housing? Thanks.
The manual says to tighten the thermo housing in two steps. First is 2.9 ft lbs and second is 5.8 ft lbs.
The manual does not mention sealant but does say that a new gasket should be installed
