So, has anyone gone down this road? I have a new to me 2013 330 that I'd like to retro the transom fish box into a chilled unit. I've seen a few discussions here, but no pictures or any real detail other than I'm doing it or I've done it. I have a few questions if you can help me:
1) what years of production were the transom fish boxes removable?
2) did you use chiller plates (how many) or copper coils (how many loops)?
3) how did you insulate the box after to added the chiller elements?
4) how effective was your new system? I need to take 60 degree water down to 34 degrees and chill 200lbs of tuna as fast as I can. Adding ice and water is pretty simple if necessary as long as I plan for it
5) What manufacturer did you go with?
6) where did you mount the gear?
7) did you go electric or use a belt driven pump run from your generator?

Thanks in advance, I'm sure I'll have a bunch more questions once I start down this road. I plan on documenting it as well so others can learn from the experience.

Thank in advance for any and all help on this.

I have not done this nor have any interest but will watch! Maybe they are better now, but there were complaints in the past. I like KISS on boats. The less stuff that is prone to break, the better.

My understanding is that it helps keep ice and the contents of the box colder for longer, but chillers don't replace the need for ice in the first place?
