In my Voyager the lids on the boxes have a s.s. spring to hold them open.
All but my fish box and I would like to know if anyone has mounted one on this lid if using for fish or ice chest.
I belive it would be handy because when I open my fish box lid all the way "big fish going in"it gets in the way of the ped. captain seat.
Does anyone know where can I purchase one of the springs with hardware.

I found the box lid spring at West marine and mounted it on my fish box lid.
It really helps due to the fact without it you have to hold the lid open or prop it up under the captain chair.
Could anyone tell me why Grady doesn't put lid holders on the fishbox as they seem to put them on the lids.

I guess they figure none of their customers actually catch fish, so never a need to hold open the fish box.

Or as the fish keep jumping inthere they will open the lid, the lid will stay open then will swim away, but now the lid would come down again, hit them on the head and die :D

That's the best i could do, long day at work today .............

Yes Grady didn't realize I would be catching such large fish.
Takes 2 of us to put the fish in the box and before I put the spring on my wife held the box open and she was so tired at the end of the day I had to make her clean the fish.
I was thinking of her when I made the modification.

Yeah I hear ya for sure ! Your going to need a signature change also to Super Gas Guzzler with the extra weight of the spring and hardware !

You forgot the fish.
But due to the wifes workout pulling the box lid at least she doesn't have any extra weight.
