Been awhile since I posted here but I need some good advice. Getting my boat ready to go and realize I need a new shift cable. Done this years before on a previous boat where the control box was on the outside. Well this one, the controls are flush mounted with the box on the inside. Dumbfounded on how in the heck I'm going to access this in order to perform something routine as changing out a shift cable.

But seriously - I have a Rinker with Volvo Penta inboard. Similar problem - no access. I got the shift unit loose and worked it to the speaker hole. Not ideal. You may be able to pull the shifter back toward the cockpit. I would imagine the factory feeds that assembly forward from the cockpit already assembled. The is a special place in hell for those sadistic engineers.

if there's no other access point, probably thru the speaker hole. cant see what's in front or behind the throttle in your pics.

I just emailed Grady Technical Support. Hopefully they can help but I'm not holding my breath.

not familiar with your boat but probably have to remove handle and some screws and something in the gunnel so you can pull it out. Old boats had to remove the rod holder insert

I second the :remove the handle" approach but I don't know how that is done. After the handle is removed (and there will be wires to look out for) I would expect the plastic round trim ring to able to be popped off exposing mounting screws.
My next uninformed guess is that the assembly comes out through the back. There should be panels underneath somewhere that you remove to gain access to that area from underneath.

This video should help a lot

Pete from Grady White responded already. He said, the only way is to remove the bulkhead in the console and gain access there. So it looks like I will replace the throttle cable too while I am at it, being it will have to be removed to pull the box forward. My Goodness!
