Freedom 285 vs 275 questions

There is lots of feedback on 275s but not much on 285s. I ask because of a post I read about a member who is selling his late model 275 and buying a 285. Is the 275 that bad or is the 285 that good

I originally thought the 285 was the updated version of the 275 but it is a different beast and has been around longer than I thought.. The 285 is much bigger with a 9-6 beam and a lot more weight ( and cost

Any hands on feedback?

I have a 285 and love it. Twin 300 Yammies. Fast and large. Could not be happier. Minor complaint. Some of the hardware could be better quality stainless. It rusts. But, with that said, great boat.

Thanks for the feedback. What model year is your boat?
I am aware of issues with hardware on later model Gradys but I am not sure if it is Covid related (supply chain issues) or more pervasive.
