I need to run a wire from the port side where the fusion radio is located under the helm. I do not want to have to run it all around the aft side and up the starboard side. Does anyone know where a wire chase is to go from the port side midship to the starboard side under the helm?

I'm pretty new to GW ownership but I'm told that the wiring on my 275 Freedom runs up and through the T-top structure. I'm just guessing that's the path of the Fusion sound system wiring. I'm thinking a quick call to GW or your local GW outfitter/dealer can tell you.
I have a 307 Freedom, so I can't speak exactly to the 285. I upgraded my Fusion and some separate control units a couple of years ago. The only way I was able to do it was by running my wiring from under the helm, forward to the bow behind several openings (like behind my speaker ports), and then back down the port side to where my new Fusion unit is.
It took me a good 4-6 hours, but I was doing a lot of wiring, moving, etc.
