Had intermittent and then terminal failure of my sunshade. They have a great online “University “ on YouTube to reset/calibrate your motors. Anyway followed that and got some problems with voltage. Replaced the sunshade control box. No change. Replaced the helm switch. No change. Stumped. Started tracing wires and finally made it to the connection under the helm console. This sits direct under the hard top post where the wires run up to the top. I had noticed on some rough offshore day there was water dripping from that spot. It I hadn’t noticed the molex wiring connector was also directly under it. It was wrapped in wiring loom. As soon as I inspected it was obvious there was corrosion and weak connections. I had to rewire the whole plug and problem was fixed.
If you have any issues with hard top operation, lights or speakers. Check this.
I have since sealed the top post to eliminate the leak.

is that factory wiring? looks pretty bad if so.

Yes it is factory wiring. It was in the loom you can see behind it. The wiring was fine. Its the location of the connector directly under the leaking top post that caused the issue.
