Freedom seat modification

Has anyone ever tried to replace the front port side chair on a Freedom (2017) to a pedestal chair? The port side chair is so low, that passenger can't see over the door to the head. Any help/pictures would be great!

I was thinking of adding an 8" box under the companion seat of my Marlin for the same reason and to provide two additional storage drawers. The one thing to manage is the seat height from the floor so you don't need a ladder to sit down... Have not started the project yet though. I'm sure you could go to a pedestal chair, just need to manage the mount and see how it looks. The companion seat on the Marlin mounts with 4 bolts through the top of the fiberglass box in a wider pattern than the pedestal mount, thus some glass touch up work likely required.
