Fresh Water cap keeps breaking GW257

My fresh water cap is stainless but the hinges are plastic and keep breaking. It is the Scandvik model. The cap is high quality but part that sits in boat is black plastic. It only cost 12.50 and another 8.00 to ship. Anyone have a better idea/product?

Somebody must be being rough with the lid for it to keep happening. Scandvik makes good stuff.

You could switch it out to a standard screw-off deck plate in SS (both pieces). As long as the new deck piece will fit in the area. Look at Perko stuff.

You have to be careful with the freshwater sprayers in the aft and in the rigging stations too. The trigger can come out and if they are not properly winterized you will be replacing them.
