Just noticed that the fresh water hose cover went missing on my 1999 GW 208.
Thanks for any advice as to replacement!

You need to post a picture or a better description. In general there are two styles of the gunnel mounted fresh water fitting: One has a hinge and one has a strap. The strap type is available online and in marine stores. You do not need to buy the entire fitting, just the cover. The hinged fitting probably requires replacement.
The flap type is this

The straps don't last very long. The sun makes them brittle and the strap breaks. I get about 3 seasons out of the cover.

Thank you both! Bought the white hinged version on Amazon. May add the stainless cover later. Was Scandvik the original GW equipment?

Yes, as far as I know. The previous owner of my boat was not a do-it-yourselfer, he changed nothing and it has Scandvic fittings. Be aware that if your boat has the cup with the flexible strap like seasick mentioned above, then to install the hinged type, you will have to increase the size of the hole a little. Be sure to seal the exposed coring with epoxy afterward.

Thanks for the heads up! I’ll be prepared. Can I open the hole by hand with a rasp or would a power tool be best?
