Just finished installing a 2002 200HP Yami VMax on my 1989 Grady Overnighter. Seeing that this engine is fuel injected unlike the old motor can I get rid of the fuel line priming bulb or is it still needed? I would love to get rid of it to clean up my rigging. Thanks! :D

I believe it is still needed, I had a new HPDI put on my 1989 and I needed to prime the bulb before a cold start. I believe the bulb acts as a pump in the line. Without it I think you will have problems, but call Yamaha to be certain. My Four stroke's even have the ball, I believe on most engines it is part of the fuel priming system.

Thanks for the response! Yeah if it is required I will most likely locate it below where the battery is on one side so that I can have all of my rigging in the factory rubber tube. By the way, nice grady. Not too often do see that color especially here in AZ or down in San Carlos!
