Tried to remove the fuel sender sensor from my poly tank but could only get 3 of the 5 screws removed. Luckily I was removing sender to drain the tank (but found another way.) so I didn't have to force the issue. But now I'm wondering if any of u have run into the same issue? The screws I could get out looked like machine screws so I'm concerned they embedded a PEM nut in the tank and now corrosion has bound the screw to the PEM and forcing the issue will strip the PEM and I'll have no way to remove the screw and sender.. Thanks in advance.

Two of the screws wouldn't turn while trying to remove them by hand and I didn't want to force them a strip the PEM. What's us favorite screw loosener spray?

PB Blaster is a good one. Spray it couple times over the course of a day or two for best results.

Try repeatedly tightening/loosening. Use an impact driver - but just one or two little quick "hits" in each direction - not full power, either. The shocking motion of the impact driver helps.
