Garmin Smartpump Location

Where should I mount the Garmin Smartpump v2 for a Reactor 40 autopilot in my Marlin?

On my 30 express i installed the smart pump on the shelf next to the generator in the rear bilge. Garmin recommends that it is installed close to the batteries. This location also had good access to hydro. hoses. My boat is not a marlin but the aft bilge is similar. Hope this helps.
