Hello,
I have a 1993 Seafarer which needs a lot of cosmetic work. The hull is in excellent shape but the gel coat around the live well and bow pulpit are shot. I have attached images so you guys know what I am talking about. I am brand new to the boat repair game and wanted to see if you guys think this is a simple puddy job or if I should strip it down to the wood and lay fiberglass tape and do it that way. The bow pulpit is obviously the worst but is still structurally sound. I am thinking it is more worth it to just buy a new one off the web. Also while I have you hear do you have any paint recommendations to use after?
Thanks!

Hi Lum. Something to keep in mind is that each one of those "repairs" is going to be three times bigger than what you think. It always is.

For the two hatches... just make them out of HDPE and be done with it.

For the pulpit, if you can't find a good used one (will be tough), repair it. Or, use the existing one to make a mold and build a new one out of glass.
