Hello everone,
My question is as stated in title, I have a small stand up jet ski (@200lbs) and need to transport it with me in my 87 Seafarer, i have the grady
bracket. lifting it over the side is a litte difficult by my self. My last boat had a swim platform and was able to load it on there and off i go. now new boat new problem, no platform, dont want to install a crane in back. Anybody have any ideas? i aready though of a rail system to go over the side and oull it up and over, but dont want to have make and permmanent alterations..
Thanks for looking,
Rich

You can have a full width platform made, to sit right on top of the drive and extend outward to both sides.

Sush an option was very popular on twin drives.

Other than the hoist, you can make up some kind of ramp and slide it up and over. Pep boys has a fold up alum ramp for ORVs loading onto pickups, may give you some ideas looking at it.

I don't know... something just doesn't sit right about doing this.

Is it really worth risking damage to your boat... and the jet ski?

If you trailer your boat, why not have someone else trailer the jet ski?

If your going somewhere by water, and it's not too far, I think you could get away with towing, (slowly) the jet ski behind the boat.

If your moving, or this is a one way long haul... the only thing I can think of, (again, besides using a pwc trailer) is laying car tires in and around the deck, then try to find access to fork truck, (boat yard?) and use a bridle set up. I don't know how you would secure the jet ski, once it's in the boat. Maybe a gunnel strap, (or 2) will be enough to keep it in place.

I have one of those OEM swim platforms that I'm not using anymore. Took it off of my Sailfish. Can get you dimensions if you want...
