My boat has 2 older GPS units on it. One is Furuno the other is Garmin. Both of the antennas have a smaller metal piece on them with a seperate wire running to it. What is this piece?
The new unit I just purchased doesn't have it. I'm keeping one of the older units as a backup. Thanks for the help.
