Just wondering if anyone is running this combo.. raymarine website says the ev-100 is good for boats up to 7000lbs, the raymarine dealer said it is too small of a pump to use for trolling... They said it wouldn't keep course in any wave action.. any first hand experience?

Not specifically but I run the EV-150 on my 265 and have been happy with it. I don't recall exactly but I thought there was also some correlation between pump size and the piston throw length on the engine ram? It's been a few years since I did my upgrade but it seems like that's what I used at the time to help me determine which system to get.
