Hey Guys:
This past week I met a guy from Jacksonville who is a Pursuit broker and we talked boats for maybe 30 minutes in my store here. Really nice guy and he asked if I had a boat and I told him what make and model and guess what? Well, he was very nice and complimentary on the fit, finish and ride of Grady White. He thought Grady gives Pursuit a run for its money in many areas and said they target the same market of people in terms of taste and so forth.
He said Pursuit is developing a line of cruising boats where the outboards are hidden from the stern with a hatch like cover, very sleek lines and quieter too. It is not a fishing boat per se more of cruiser. He said given the new more fuel effecient Yammies on the market, lighter and so forth, folks are shying away from new Tieras with inboards so Pursuit is looking to develop cruiser boats with outboards. I suspect if this concept becomes popular Grady will follow with something maybe.
Anyway, it was nice to be meet a guy who appreciates quality even though he does not sell it new. I know I have said I did not buy my boat to impress other people, but it is still nice to hear from others they like your boat.
