Hi, I want to install a new transducer on my 1994 Grady white chase 263. So far, I am leaning on getting a B175HW; however, I am trying to figure out where I will mount it. There is a flat spot 0 degree mounting spot where the old transducer was, but I don't think there is room for the new one. I do see Airman makes a 285mw kind looks close to what's on there now but bigger not sure if it will fit on the 0 degree spot. Does anyone have any recommendations on this or have done this before? Thanks

Hard to tell with the paint ..It looks like you have an Airmar B744V "triducer". It has a paddle wheel for speed?
Its mounted on flat spot. Its just the bronze housing, no plastic fairing?
They require a 2" hole.

The direct replacements for a modern CHIRP with 2" hole are B765(LH, LM) & B785M.
B285 has a smaller bore. You would have to fill the hole and redrill.

Edit: looking pix more. Looks like the old one is is less than 2". ...nevermind....

To mount a B175 you need to move to the 20Deg hull like you circled. Need a 3.75" hole and the flange and collar and nut extend out making it 5.3" outside hull and 5.5" inside.
So you need to be far enough away from the flat spot and also not too close to the stringer because it will be tilted toward the stringer.

Thanks for the reply its is a b744 there is two transducer not sure what the other one is. leaning towards getting a b175 and mounted in that red location maybe a little more forward so i don't get bubbles off the 0 degree spot
