I've looked through the forum and see variants of this question: does anyone know who makes the swim platforms for Grady-White?

Don't know exactly how even though I was watching, but 15 year old boys plus G-W 180 Sportsman = broken swim platform. I'm sure my dealer could replace it ($$ $$ $$) or I could go to West Marine and get something similar (less $$ but the holes in the fiberglass would be different placement).

Thanks in advance for any information.

Ditto to that, I'm having trouble finding a platform that will line up with my bracket.

Consider having the one broken repaired, a marine plastics fabricator can replicate the seat in dimension and drillings, but heavier gauge material such as thicker starboard, I presume the metal rails didn't break.

This will be less expensive than all new from Grady, but more than West.
The ones West sell are generally smaller in dimensions, as I recall.

RE Grady White swim platform

It appears that Grady fabricates its own swim platform at a MSRP replacement cost of $600+ (vs $150 or so for a lesser one from West Marine or wherever). So I am out of luck looking for a clone that will fit the same screwholes in the hull.

I did note that the factory Grady platform is not throughbolted just lagged into the plywood encapsulated in the fiberglass. Thus if someone wants to replace an OEM one, better thoroughly silicone in the screwholes.

My problem is a bent metal handrail so I may be able to have one fabricated to match. I have bought from S & S Marine in Norfolk and will post if that is a solution.

A Great Grady forum member e-mailed a suggestion to check with Marine Connection Liquidators in Ft Pierce http://www.themarineconnection.net as an option too.
