Grady White Wahoo (1981)

I purchased a GW Wahoo 2 years ago and want to repower it this winter. I was wondering if anyone on here is currently running a wahoo, and if so what they have for power. Mine has the standard 255 merc, she came with. Only getting 12-15knts out if it. Just trying to guage whether to go gas or diesel. Thank you so much for a reply!

Rare bird you have there. I've only seen/heard of 5 or 6 over the years.

From what I remember, the original diesel was very low power and performance was less than adequate. One of the ones I heard of supposedly had a modern diesel fitted, but the engine box had to be raised to accomodate it. I think your best bet would be a high output 5.7 gas motor.
