Gulfstream stern coolers

I have an '01 Gulfstream with insulated coolers on each side of the stern seat. When the lids are opened all the way it pulls out the screws on the hinges. I recently installed spring supports to prevent this and I wanted to know if other owners have had the same problem.

Yes, was always afraid of someone flinging it open and pulling the screws all the way out. I epoxied the holes and re-drilled them. Bad design.
