Hey everyone,

I am an hour away from my 2004 Marlin 30. I am working on a rear filet table mount that will mount on top of the cooler lid. What I am trying to find out is how high is that rear area off of the deck floor. ie, how high is the cooler lid / gunwale height from the deck floor? from there, I can figure out how tall my legs need to be on my filet table to put it at a comfortable height for me.

anyone near their Marlin that can help with this??? I have searched everywhere and cannot find this info.

I see on the Grady site, they mention cockpit depth @ 29" but wasn't sure if thats what they were referring to.

thanks again

Wade

Not sure on exact height, however 30 inches stick in my head from when I built a bait table for the top of the fish box. On my 305 the table is mounted on 2 inch blocks. It could probably use an additional 6-8 inches to make it a comfortable height. However it works as is. Eventually I would like to make drawers underneath it.

if access issues persist, maybe shoot an email to GW cust service and ask them to measure?

Wade, can I make a suggestion? This is not a knock on anyone here providing info, but when it comes to exact measurements like this... what if they're wrong? It'd probably be worth it to take a couple hours to find out for SURE that you get the exact measurements you're looking for.

Truthfully, I wouldn't blindly trust GW either. This is something I'd want to verify for myself.

IDK if this really requires a precise measurement requirement. The aft fishbox cover is at the same height as the gunnel height. I have a Magma table that is about 8 inches higher than the gunnel. I've had kids to adults filet fish and in 25 years of boating on a 282 and a 300 nobody has ever complained about the table height. The cockpit depth is 29" per the brouchure. I'd go 36" and call it a day.
